View bunyips
Hey, if it’s got official government websites, it’s real.
Some tourists are mistaken and think that bunyips are just there for the amusement of tourists. They are wrong. The bunyip is thousands of years old, eats the tender flesh of women and children and is said to be a myth (which, as we all know, means that it is real).
Once a bunyip was observed eating six champagne mangoes in a single sitting. Then it belched loudly and ate a boot. Unfortunately, boots are very tough, quite bitter and difficult to digest. Eating a boot gave the bunyip terrible and permanent stomach pains and is the reason why it has such a reputation of grumpiness. It’s not grumpy, it’s just got a booty-ache.
To date, it has not been ascertained whether “bunyip” is an allowable word in Scrabble when played outside of Australia. The last person who challenged it was eaten.
