i used to make categories on my blog, just because i could, way back before i consciously acknowledged that “worrying” was catching 97.3% anyway.  beebling came from my college days.  that was both when we used the word the most and when we refined the practice: as far as i can explain, it’s something like verbal dithering.  we probably made it up. i know we tought we’d made up “humongous” at about the same time, though, and that doesn’t seem now to have been true.
