Of Course << home >> be still my heart
Possibly the only contemporary artist I have time for is Louise Bourgeois, on two counts: firstly, her work ‘maman’ (do a web-search, admire, consider what ‘maman’ means in French, look again); and secondly, because at age ninety-something, she still does critique (in the harshest possible sense) sessions of up-and-coming hopefuls at her home.
*applauds*
[and for those too lazy to type in the search terms Louise Bourgeois (Wikipedia)]
I, of course, prompted by an email from Scrine about a sentence am here instead of doing the 5,000,000 things that are stopping me from being able to breathe normally this week (that I really should be doing). Tomorrow ‘pitch day’ and then my course is over - I’m hoping to find I still have friends out there once I’m done.
Friends wait. Sometimes impatiently, feet tapping, horns honking, but they wait.
