In the late 1960s the CIA developed a covert ops program code named Farmers Daughter to entrap foreign dignitaries of least favored nations by sneaking naked 15 year old girls into their hotel rooms, and then after arming their fathers with shot guns telling the salt-of-the-earth Americans what rooms their daughters where currently staying.
Oooooo, very Burn Notice. :)
I love that show!
Of course, having said that...sir, I simply must request that you remove that apostrophe from “daughter’s” and replace “where” with “were.” Normally I would not be such a pedant, but I’m taking legal writing this semester, and as I’ve been ruthlessly reminded, the little things can make a big difference. (Seriously. Ask me about the criminal trial that hung on which clauses were modified by which adverbs.)
Sorry. As you were. (scurries off)
heeee. It makes perfect sense that you’re a BN fan. All right-thinking people are, in my opinion.
Actual conversation between me and spouse during last night’s rerun:
Spouse: I want Bruce Campbell to be my friend.
Me: Honey, *everybody* wants Bruce Campbell to be their friend.
Ahhhh....I always get confused where to put that damn apostrophe. The Company could use someone with your talents.
Bruce Campbell is the most interesting, underappreciated character actor ever. He should have one an Oscar for his portrayal of Ash in the 3 Evil Dead Movies (if you count Army of Darkness). Then there is Jack of All Trades and Briscoe County. Have you ever read his book “If Chins Could Kill?”
Well, sure! Make it quick, though. Veronica and I are going shopping for a new car. ;)
I also do the illeritate thing of using one for won, there for their and so on.
Grammar is grammar. Your four given.
