Most cities in my area outlaw fireworks (since southern California is in actuality a desert), but one local city (Chino) allows them. The fireworks are sold by booths connected with charitable organizations, which always mystifies me - “To help us provide better sports opportunities for your children, we’re gonna sell you stuff that you can blow up and possibly disfigure said children. Have fun!”
