I certainly know the phrase ‘twobeefour’, but I never really thought about a) what it meant or b) if Australian carpenters call them something else.  I think they call it that, but maybe still measure in centimetres.

I know in cooking, there are a suspicious amount of recipes that call for, for example, 600ml of whatever (just shy of one Imperial pint).
