Most professors read papers in the exact same condition students are in when they write them.
You know, I think this is the chicken-and-egg question of our time.
Some just drop them from the top of a flight of stairs. The ones that reach the bottom get A’s and they proceed upward until the ones closest to them receive the failing grades they so richly deserve. This saves them a lot of time and they can spend the time extra time fooling around with their students or drinking coffee in their offices.
I think, since I teach business students, I shall teach them about incentivizing. Namely if you want a good grade, staple a 10 dollar bill to the inside of the paper so that I may by a grey goose on the rocks.
*smites forehead* Why didn’t I think of that?
Then again, since the odds are good I will be back in school in the fall…
*pulls out notebook, starts taking notes furiously*
The key to a good grade: bring pressies and go to office hours.
