Hah!

This was just too… uh… amusing (uh… in a sick black humoured kind of way - I do like dogs) not to share.

Squirrel Blog
Gahh!
From a small town in Russia, BBC has brought forth the news that a stray dog has been killed by a wild pack of squirrels: “They are said to have scampered off at the sight of humans, some carrying pieces of flesh.”

This is the secret fear of my dogs - that killer squirrels will enter the yard. My pomeranian will actually run out of the room if you make squirrel noises. I can’t imagine the drama that the back yard imposes on their impressionable minds.

The secret fear of all my pets seems to be that when they have food, someone or something will try to steal it.

We don’t have squirrels… but there is a possum that is regularly about which could be the equivalent of a killer squirrel… but they all seem to happily ignore one another.

Their thing about food is kind of weird as I’ve never teased or made my pets beg for food - and they are of varied animal races - cat, rabbit, turtles/tortoise (those that need to eat in the water).  They all get plenty of food regularly, but still grab choice treats and scurry off to corners to enjoy them as though, any minute, they are going to have it snatched from their mouths.  Sigh.  I guess we all have to have our little neurosis.

What’s all this then?  Talk of killer squirrels going on right behind my back?  Virtually taking place right here in front of me, and me none the wiser.  I need to start paying more attention.

I’ll admit to occasionally (oh, okay… often) scurrying off to my own corner with my food.

sorry for the bother, but I’m trying to rid the forum of that irritating php error problem that’s been popping up lately.

As they say.... this is only a test.

I don’t think there is much more terrifying than the crack squirrels in Washington Square Park. At least the crack, however, curbs their desire for human flesh.

I’ve heard squirrels can be taught to performs tricks, although I guess this means something completely different to the Washington Square Park crack squirrels.
