This goes out to anyone who has heard of finger buns. 

I was boasting to Keith the other day about the delicious (Balfours) finger bun that I’d been eating.  Then I thought it would be good to share the recipe that I’ve had, but not used, for many years.  Alas, I can’t find it anywhere. 

If you know where I can get my hands on a fairly genuine Australian recipe for finger buns, I’d appreciate hearing about it.

I, of course, had heard of finger buns because you told me about them just the other day.  But I figured knowing about them for only a day or so didn’t actually count as “knowing”, so I was forced into calling you an Australian fool.

I suspect I’m just entirely too juvenile because there’s something about the phrase “finger buns,” that makes my inner teenager giggle.

You probably roll over laughing whenever you hear someone talking about “sticky buns”.

No, that one I’ve gotten used to over the years, so it doesn’t bring out the inner adolescent as much.

Of course it used to make me giggle, but, as you say Snow, you get used to it over the years.

“Sticky Buns”!  Heh.  but not half as amusing as the look of shock you get when you see someone of English (as in UK) descent read an American novel or watching a sitcom that mentioning someone slapping someone on the fanny.  Shortly followed by the look of, “Oh… I remember now, it’s not that bad, they mean something else...”
