I know time is short, but an April Fool’s Day (no, I have no idea where the apostrophe belongs) Scrinecast show sounds fun.

Leave your suggestions, ideas, or wishes here and I’ll see what I can do.

Here’s some of my suggestions from ‘mouse’s sentence to get the ball rolling:

Anything by Bjork
Purple People Eater
Puff the Magic Dragon
Tie Me Kangaroo Down, Sport.
The Rainbow Connection
It Ain’t Easy Being Green
Kookaburra Sits in the Old Gum Tree

I’d like to suggest that Keith and ‘mouse personally record Kookaburra Sits in the Old Gum Tree, in rounds of course.

Surprisingly, I don’t have some of those in your list, Boot, that would seem the easiest.  But I’m working on it.

Thanks.  I wasn’t expecting you to have any of them, so if even one of them turns up, I’ll be stoked.  So, what time in Australia can we expect the Silly-Cast to start?

It may show up late in Australia, considering the short notice timeframe I’m working on to put it all together, and the fact that I haven’t really had time to start yet.

The show will loop, however, so you won’t have to worry about missing one silly beat.

Matter of fact, some of the songs are so pathetic, that it may very well take more than one listening to make it through the thing.

Some I’ve mentioned previously, some not:
John Denver and John Denver being strangled
Some Jeff Foxworthy and maybe a little David Sedaris
the Palindrome Song
Needle Skips
The Bannaphone song mentioned by Snow
The llama llama duck song if you have it or can capture it
The Tom Leher elements song (thank Elison for the link) if you can capture it: here’s a flash version
Some Jimmy Buffet for our australian friends
Louie Louie
Freebird
Do you know the way to san jose
Boogie Woogie Santa Clause (hell, anything with Christmas involved)
Anything off the Hayseed Dixie (hillbilly tribute to ac/dc) album
“Badly Bent” or anything else off the Tractors album
While we’re on a country bent, “John Deere Green”
“Your Flag Decal Won’t Get You into Heaven Anymore”
Something off the Black Lodge Singers (Indian chants) album
Me and my gin, Bessie Smith
that dirty-jazz compiliation
Lucy in the sky with diamonds
Something out of the “electronica” or “trance” genre
Amazing Grace
Little Red Shoes (Loretta Lynn) (please no, Keith, I’ll pay you not to play that one!)
Lola
American Pie
Red Wine
Cocaine
Heroin

Okay, that’s all I’ve got for now.

Boa Constrictor
Mamas don’t let your babies grow up to be cowboys (willie nelson)
beer, bait and ammo
venom wearin’ denim (how come the worst/best songs are always country?)
something by bobby mcferrin perhaps with yoyo ma.

oh my, I nearly forgot—Every sperm is sacred!

I know, some of my stuff isn’t acutally awful, but for me they’re all either awful or get caught in my brain or both.

There’s a song that goes
“one banana, two banana, three banana, four
five banana, six banana, seven banana, more
na-na-na, nana-na-na
na-na-na, nana-na-na!”

I don’t know what it’s called, but it’s from a kids show called “The Banana Splits”.

Good luck, Keith!

Oh, and “These boots were made for walking” by Patsy Cline.  I think Patsy did that originally, didn’t she?
Just not [shudders] Jessica Simpson.  Please, no!

That’s it!  That’s the one.  Oh, I loved that show.  I shall be forever in your debt if you manage to dig that one up.

Hey, I’m not a new member anymore!  About time.

I’ve thought of another song, what about the Beatles’ “I Am The Walrus”.

goo goo g’joob g’goo goo g’joob.

One man… a couple of hours in one evening… I already know I’m not going to put together a proper show.  We’ll just have to see what I can come up with, even I don’t know yet.

Don’t actually know if I’ll be able to listen to the April Fool’s Day cast since I’m on dial-up at home, but I’ll throw in my $.02 in anyway:

Hotel California (Eagles, the best Twilight Zone-ish song ever)
Slime Creatures from Outer Space by Weird Al
Party at the Leper Colony by Weird Al (I’m a big fan, can’t ya tell?)
These Are Not My Pants (there are various versions of this, I have 5 of ‘em, but I can’t remember *who* recorded them)

And I can’t think of any other songs worthy of AFD.................

Since you’re not running the broadcast while I’m going to be around the whole time I DEMAND a Monday re-broadcast.  Don’t lose that playlist.
